One of our veteran Learning Leader Circle members is Alex Feldmeyer. She's a sensory scientist. That's someone who studies how people perceive products using all 5 senses. In other words, she's really smart. This is what she said about being in our Learning Leader Circle... “Our leadership circle meetings are experiences that go unmatched with anything else in my life. The biggest part is learning that we have so much within ourselves to catalyze massive potential, but we often don't know how to access it. This group is about learning how to unlock it, LIVE it & most importantly--sustain it. With the carefully crafted discussion points and the intentional people around us, it's like being invited to a machine that gives us the tools to harvest our own superpowers.” A big reason people join the Circle is that they want to be surrounded by doers who get after it and have no patience for nonsense. That's harder to find than it should be, because (unfortunately) a lot of people are content to float, and I don't think that's an enjoyable way to go through life. The great ones notice who they're spending their time with and do something about it. I think the biggest factor in your career, and really in your life, is being around others who are aggressively ambitious about their own growth. You can watch this short video to get a feel for what it's like. The curriculum is great... But the people are what make it awesome. I read every application, and personally conduct all the interviews. It is by far the least efficient thing I do all year. But it's worth it to get the people right on the front end. Sometimes I'm asked, "Well, what's the ROI for this?" It's hard to nail down an exact number, but I think Liam Murray (6-year veteran member of our Learning Leader Circle) answers it well... "I applied to gain an edge professionally. Instead, I gained far more. I have come to see those in my group as a personal board of advisors, and many have become good friends." Applications are open now. The groups stay small, around 12 people or so, and I meet with everyone 1-on-1 before they join. If you've been wondering whether you're actually reaching your potential, that's not a question that answers itself. It tends to get answered in a room like this one. CLICK HERE to apply now. Remember... "You should join a group where your desired behavior is the normal behavior." - James Clear (at our 2024 Learning Leader Growth Summit) If you have questions, reply to this email.
