#628: Anthony Consigli - Life Lessons From a Former Gravedigger

Anthony Consigli is the CEO of Consigli Construction. Since his promotion to the role, he's helped grow the company from $3 million to $4 billion (not a typo). We discuss how they've grown so much, what he learned playing football at Harvard, starting his career as a ditch digger, lessons from hiking 10K footers in Colorado, and much more. You can also watch our conversations on YouTube.

High Agency

It’s an idea so simple yet effective that it may change how you view reality. CLICK HERE to read it.

The Hot Shot Rule

Confidence doesn’t come before action — it comes from taking action, says business leader Kat Cole, who worked her way up from waitress to CEO of a global health company. She presents a simple yet powerful practice to help you step into a leadership mindset, break free from inertia, and take decisive action when it matters most. And if you'd like to see my live podcast with Kat, CLICK HERE.

It's Not For Everyone

I was giving a speech in the deep South a few years ago. I told a story about a challenging hike I'd done. The point wasn't about hiking but about deliberately choosing difficult paths. When I finished, an older dude in the third row stood up during the Q&A. "Uh, that's great and all, but those have a price. They'll tear up your knees and hips. You'll have to get replacements. So I don't think it's a good idea to tell people to do that."
Looking at him from the stage, I replied, "It doesn't seem like this is for you." CLICK HERE to read more.

Wise Words...

“Who said time machines haven’t been built yet? They already exist. They’re called books.” -- Robert Benchley

Mindful Check-In

I'm always looking to better understand what matters most to you as a leader. Your input helps me shape content that’s more valuable to you. Please take a moment to answer one question...
