#613: Mo Bunnell - Give to Grow

Mo Bunnell is the author of Give to Grow, The Snowball System, and the founder of Bunnell Idea Group (BIG), who has trained tens of thousands of people at over 400 clients worldwide. We discussed asking great questions, mastermind groups, giving to grow, delayed gratification, long-term relationships, and much more. You can also WATCH our conversation on YouTube.

Creativity in Management

In this presentation, John Cleese claims that creativity is not a special talent. People are either in an ‘open’ or ‘closed’ state of mind. The closed mode enables people to apply themselves to tasks with vigor and concentration; the open mode is more relaxed and conducive to creative thinking. Cleese talks about how leaders can induce an open mode in their team members and establish confidence in them to accept that there is a succession of learning steps on the road to total quality.

From Amazon to Space: Jeff Bezos Talks Innovation

Jeff Bezos sits down with Andrew Ross Sorkin to discuss what’s next for Amazon, Blue Origin, and his vision for humanity’s future in space.

Wise Words...

“Ambitious people are rare, so if everyone is mixed together randomly, as they tend to be early in people's lives, then the ambitious ones won't have many ambitious peers. When you take people like this and put them together with other ambitious people, they bloom like dying plants given water. Probably most ambitious people are starved for the sort of encouragement they'd get from ambitious peers, whatever their age.” - Paul Graham
