Welcome to Mindful Monday!

This week, we focus on a Medal of Honor recipient, the opening of applications for our Learning Leader Circle, a short video about risk, 21 facts about throwing good parties, and some wise words from Morgan Housel.

#656: Dakota Meyer - The Battle of Ganjgal

Dakota Meyer is a United States Marine Corps veteran and Medal of Honor recipient. At just 21 years old, Dakota's actions during the Battle of Ganjgal in Afghanistan saved many lives when he repeatedly went against his orders and drove into a Taliban ambush zone to rescue trapped soldiers. He became the first living Marine in more than 40 years to receive the Medal of Honor. We discuss Leadership Under Fire, The Loyalty Question, and What America Needs Right Now. You can also WATCH our conversation on YouTube.

The Learning Leader Circle - NOW Accepting Applications

We open applications for our Learning Leader Circle once a year. That time is now. If you want to surround yourself with growth-focused, ambitious leaders who want to put a positive dent in the world, then apply now. If you're curious to hear from a current member, here is what best-selling author, Robert Kurson (Shadow Divers, Rocket Men), said: "Ryan Hawk is that rarest kind of people – a truly curious soul who asks questions that drill down into the heart of the matter, leave space for contemplation, and gently urge his peers to look inside for answers they might not yet have discovered themselves.” CLICK HERE to apply.

It's All Risky

"If you think trying is risky, wait til they hand you the bill for not trying." A short video on risk.

21 Facts About Throwing Good Parties

I thought this essay had useful facts about hosting people... It goes beyond just parties.
