#640: Tony Reno - Yale University Head Football Coach

When Tony Reno was a senior in college, his football coach told him, You should do something you love. He loved football, so Tony took an internship at a small Pennsylvania school, making $3,000 a year. That was 1997. Today, Coach Reno has won 4 Ivy League championships, sent players to the NFL, and turned Yale football into a powerhouse. But that’s not what I think is most impressive about him. I love that Coach Reno evaluates his players on living up to their values, on living by the Yale football creed, and on leaving the jersey better than they found it. Coach Reno is about building leaders. He uses football as a vehicle to do it. You can also WATCH our conversation on YouTube.

The Lottery Tickets We Hold

At our 2025 Learning Leader Growth Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona, a longtime member and good friend, Liam Murray, stood up to speak about lottery tickets. The title made me curious since I don’t play the lottery. This is what he said

Wise Words...

“If I had to pick one reason for Greenlight's success, it’s critical thinking skills. It’s the ability to look at a situation and see it for what it is, which isn’t necessarily what is presented to you. When something doesn’t make sense, question it, challenge it, look at it from a different way, and you often come to the opposite conclusion.” -- David Einhorn
